Iowa State, Here I Come!

Tomorrow I'll be going down to visit one of the colleges I'm considering. In all honesty, Iowa State University is one of my "fall-back" schools. I would rather go to Embry-Riddle or MIT. But it's still decent, and perhaps I'll feel different after visiting the campus.

I'll let you know how the trip turns out!

Hey, I am not sure if you are aware that you can take MIT classes online for free. You will not get the credit for taking the classes but will get the knowledge which is important.
So what is the hardest part of building a rocket? And you talk about buying parts, do you ever build your own parts? Hope you do not mind the questions.

Hello Chip,

I just recently found out about MIT opencourseware. It's a great opportunity, but just a teensy part of the MIT experience. I read all day anyway.

I would say that the hardest part about building a rocket is coming up with the money to pay for it. That's honestly it. They're just so expensive :(

I build the parts I can, but there are some parts I can't build practically without a machine shop. Especially nosecones, they're the #1 piece I buy, 2nd are the body tubes, and pretty much everything else I build myself.

I definatly don't mind questions. In fact, I love questions, so if you have any more don't hesitate to ask.
